In the heart of Sierra Leone, there existed a beacon of hope and compassion known as Sierra Leone Friends of Humanity. With the motto (Helping those in need) was Established in 2015 as a humble community-based organization, its primary mission was to spread love and support to those in need.
From the very beginning, this organization focused on uplifting the spirits of the elderly, bringing joy to their hearts through heartfelt interactions and heartwarming Christmas donation and parties for countless children. The laughter and smiles that echoed at these gatherings became a symbol of hope and unity in the community.
As the years passed, the organization’s dedication and impact expanded, reaching out to deprived and disaster-stricken areas with the essentials of life: food, clothing, and medication. Whether it was a village plagued by poverty or a region ravaged by natural calamities, Sierra Leone Friends of Humanity stood as a pillar of strength, offering a helping hand to those who needed it the most.
In 2017, on the auspicious day of August 1st, the organization achieved a milestone by officially registering as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). This step not only solidified its commitment to serving the community but also opened new doors for greater outreach and support.
However, the true test of Sierra Leone Friends of Humanity’s resilience and dedication came during the dark times of the Ebola and Corona pandemics. As these deadly diseases swept through the nation, spreading fear and uncertainty, this organization stood tall as a guardian angel, providing essential services, healthcare support, and spreading awareness to combat the spread of the viruses.
Through their unwavering efforts and selfless service, Sierra Leone Friends of Humanity became a ray of light in the midst of darkness, a ray that inspired hope, unity, and resilience in the hearts of many.
