How did this come to our attention?
During a community outreach visit to Freetown, we met Mohamed, a 12-year-old boy born with a mobility impairment. His dream? To go to school. But without a wheelchair, he had no way to get there. His mother, struggling to care for him, felt helpless.
Thanks to donor support, we provided Mohamed with a wheelchair and secured him a spot in a local school. Today, he is thriving in class—proof that a little support can change a life!
Improve the lives of people with disabilities through donations, education, and vocational training.

At Sierra Leone Friends of Humanity, we believe that disability is not inability—everyone deserves dignity, opportunity, and inclusion. Sadly, many disabled individuals in our communities face social exclusion, lack of resources, and extreme hardship. Together, we can break barriers and build a more inclusive society where they can thrive.
- Too often, disabled individuals in urban and rural areas are left behind due to:
- Limited access to education and jobs.
- Lack of mobility aids, medical care, and basic needs.
- Social stigma and exclusion.
