How did this come to our attention?

In our community outreach, we met elderly individuals struggling with basic needs—many without family support, relying on the kindness of neighbors. A visit to Waterloo revealed heartbreaking stories of seniors going to bed hungry. This inspired us to launch an annual donation drive, ensuring they receive food, medical care, and companionship.

Each year, we gather donations and volunteers to remind our elders that they are valued. Our mission is to restore dignity and create a supportive network for them, making aging a little more comfortable.

There was strong growth in municipal charities. The Brougham Commission led on to the Municipal Corporations Act 1835, which reorganized multiple local charities by incorporating them into single entities under supervision from local government.
